Meet Cath & Kate – Owners
Cath and Kate are proud Central Coast mums with a shared passion for supporting families and building strong, connected communities. Their vision for Best Start Early Learning Centre is driven by their deep understanding of children’s needs and their extensive professional experience.
Cath, a mum of three with a background in public relations, has led community initiatives supporting families and partnerships. Her personal journey as a parent inspired her to create a nurturing space where children can explore, discover, and develop a love of learning.
Kate, a mum of two, is a passionate advocate for healthy, balanced lifestyles. With a background in nutrition and over 20 years of business experience on the Central Coast, she understands what it takes to foster thriving communities.
Driven by their love of being mums and their entrepreneurial spirit, Cath and Kate have created Best Start ELC—a place where children’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs are at the heart of everything they do. Their commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education ensures that every child has the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive in a supportive, enriching environment.

Meet our Director – Jordie
Centre Director/Nominated Supervisor
As Director of Best Start ELC, Jordie is passionate about creating a nurturing, engaging environment where children thrive. She is committed to fostering curiosity, independence, and strong community connections, ensuring every child has the opportunity to develop real-world skills through hands-on learning experiences.
With over a decade of experience in Early Childhood Education, Jordie has been shaping young minds since 2011. She is deeply invested in supporting educators, empowering them to deliver the highest standard of care and education.
Currently completing a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood), Jordie remains at the forefront of best practices in early education. As a proud mum of three young daughters, she brings empathy, understanding, and a genuine passion for helping children and educators grow together.
At Best Start ELC, Jordie plays a key role in cultivating a thriving, supportive community—providing the guidance, resources, and opportunities needed for lifelong learning and development.
