Meet the owners of Best Start ELC
Cath and Kate are two proud Central Coast mums with a shared passion for supporting families and building strong, thriving communities. Together, they bring a wealth of experience, dedication and a deep understanding of the unique needs of children and parents.
Cath is a dedicated mum to three children with a background in public relations and extensive experience in managing large-scale sponsorship programs and local partnerships for community and government organisations. During her career she has lead community initiatives that involved understanding the needs of families, and her personal journey as a mum has inspired her to create a nurturing environment where children can explore, discover and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Cath is married to David, a local dentist who runs a well-established family business that has been serving the Central Coast for over 40 years. Together, they are committed to their family and the thriving, close-knit community they call home.
Kate, born and raised on the Central Coast, is a proud mum of two boys and a passionate advocate for nurturing healthy, balanced lifestyles, with a background in nutrition. Over the past 20 years, she has successfully run businesses on the Coast, gaining invaluable insight into what it takes to build strong, connected communities.
Kate is married to Andrew, a local developer dedicated to shaping the future of the region through infrastructure and growth. Andrew is a board member of a number of community groups and local charities, and together he and Kate strive to support the region they call home.
Both Cath and Kate are driven by their love of being mums and their entrepreneurial spirit. Their shared commitment to early childhood education has led them to create Best Start ELC—a place where children’s physical, emotional and developmental needs are at the heart of everything they do.
